Description The project involved construction of Captive Power Plant of 9 X135 MW for Vedanta Alumina Limited. It includes the construction of 220 KV Switchyard of 28 Bays, coal handling unit & Balance of Plant(Fuel pumping system , Cooling Towers , Deionized water).
Job Responsibilities
- Erection, testing and inspection of GT (160MVA) , ST(40MVA) & UT (16MVA),Excitation Transformers Dry type transformer, Rectiformer etc .
- Erection & testing of 220 KV switchyard .
- Installation, testing and inspection of 6.6KV switchgear room.
- Erection & testing of various HT (BFP,ID,FD,Mill) & LT motors.
- Testing of protective equipments like relays & breakers(SF6,VCB,ACB)
- Inspection of Earthing of whole plant.
- Inspection of Lighting of Boiler House, Power house .
- Installation & checking of Isolated Phase Busduct.

- Cell Lines 3 to 6 – Expansion Project; TATA BP Solar, Bangalore involving All Electrical works of 66/11 KV Grid Substation , LT Power distribution - 10MVA , 3x400KVA/3X500KVA UPS System , 2000KVA x4 No’s MTU Diesel Generator Sets, Building Illumination including Clean rooms , total cabling work for Facility Systems e.g. HVAC , Ultra Pure Water, Chemical systems, Speciality gases system , Earthing installation , testing and Commissioning- BMS Fire Alarm , Access Control, CCTV, PA system etc.
- Responsibilities as Facility Engineer for the expansion job was –Onsite job supervision-Responsible for day to day progress monitoring at site-identification of constraints causing delay, inadequacies of resource deployment.
