Closing Date: 20.12.2010 upto 18:00 hours.

Applications are invited for filling up about 1400 posts in PB-I j 5200-20200 GP 1800
(erstwhile Group D categories which inter-alia includes posts of Helper-II, Trackmen/Gang men, Box
porter, Safaiwala, Porter, Points men, Gatemen, Parcel Porter, Office Khalasi etc) in various
department i.e. Signal & Telecom, Electrical, Mechanical, Operating, Commercial, Store, Personnel,
Accounts, General, Civil Engineering and Medical etc on North Central Railway against 20% Ex-ServiceMen Quota as per the details given below. The eligible and willing Retired Military Personnel
only may apply on the format given Annexure ‘A’.

1. PAY SCALE: PB-1 j 5200-20200 + Grade Pay 1800/-

2. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
2.1 The candidate should have minimum qualification of matriculation or equivalent or higher
qualification from recognized Board/University.
2.2 The Ex-Servicemen who have retired after putting in fifteen years of service and has passed
Army Class-I certificate or equivalent will be considered eligible.

3 AGE:
i) The candidate should be aged between 18 to 33 (Un Reserved), 18-36 (Other Backward Caste)
and 18-38 years for Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe as on 01.01.2011.
ii) The Ex-servicemen who have put in not less than six months continuous service will be
given age relaxation to the extent of period of service plus three years.

4. MODE OF SELECTION:-
(i) The recruitment shall be on the basis of scrutiny of applications .The panel will be formed on
the basis of length of Military Service rendered by the applicant.

6. CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT:
6.1 Before applying, candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility norms.
6.2 Candidate selected for appointment will have to pass requisite Medical Fitness Test conducted by
the Railway Administration.

7.0 FEE Nil

8. HOW TO APPLY
8.1 Application shall be submitted with date and signature on A-4 size white paper in the form given
in Annexure-‘A’.
8.2 One recent passport size colored photograph (without cap/sunglasses/wigs) should be pasted on
the application in the space provided and signed by the candidate on photograph. Two identical
extra copies of the photograph should be firmly stitch to the application form with name on the
reverse.
9.0 The following enclosures should firmly be attached along with the application:-
9.1 Attested Xerox copy of Matriculation or equivalent certificate as proof of age.
9.2 Attested Xerox copy of passed Army Class –I certificate or equivalent.
9.3 Attested Xerox Copy of Ex. Servicemen Identity Card
9.4 Attested Xerox Copy of Discharge Book having Service No and rank
9.5 Attested Xerox Copy of PPO (Pension Payment Order)
9.6 Attested Xerox copy of Caste Certificate issued by competent authority in case of SC/ST/OBC.
10. The application complete in all respect, along with all the enclosures duly attached, should be
sent in an envelope on the address given below:

Application should be sent by ORDINARY POST or dropped in box kept in this office (on ground
floor, B - Block) for this purpose. Application sent by registered post/courier or speed post will
not be acknowledged. The envelope containing the application should clearly be super-scribed
“Application for Recruitment against Ex-Service Men Quota”.
11. Last date for receipt of application is 18.00 hrs on 13-12-10. Applications received after closing
date and time will not be entertained.
