RECRUITMENT AGAINST EX-SERVICEMEN QUOTA

Employment Notice No. 03/2010 dated 27.11.2010

Closing Date and Time for receipt of applications 27.12.2010
at 18.00 Hrs.

Applications in the prescribed format are invited from Ex-Servicemen to fill up 810 vacancies
(S.Rly.- 796 & ICF- 14) in Pay Band - 1 of Rs.5,200-20,200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1,800/- (erstwhile Group ‘D’ posts) in Southern Railway (S.Rly.) and Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai.

1.0 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Ex-Serviceman who has retired after putting in 15 years of service and has passed Army Class-I
certificate or equivalent will be considered eligible .

2.0 AGE LIMIT (AS ON 01.01.2011)
2.1 EXTENT OF AGE RELAXATION
Ex-Servicemen who have put in not less than six months continuous service will be given relaxation in
age limit to the extent of period of service plus three years.

3.0 PROCEDURE FOR RECRUITMENT OF EX-SERVICEMEN
3.1 The recruitment shall be on the basis of scrutiny of applications and the Ex-Servicemen should be
medically fit for the job being considered for.
3.2 The panel will be formed primarily on the basis of Ex-Servicemen’s length of Military service.

HOW TO APPLY
The ‘Application Form’ given in this notification should be neatly typed or handwritten on a good
quality, A - 4 size plain paper, using one side only. Candidates should fill up the required information
in his / her own handwriting only.
