Domain expert on crane system (Product design skills from concept development to product roll out) Design & development expertise on EOT Crane for light & heavy duty application
Design expertise on winch and hoist mechanism for light and heavy duty application
Good exposure to lifting equipments and experienced on Service, installation and repair/replacement process of heavy mechanical component by using crane/hoist
Technical decision making like selection of best crane solution (service & replacement) for specific application
Good solid mechanics skill, structural calculation and qualifying/verifying design through Finite Element Analysis (Preferably Ansys)
Experienced in testing & verification of component and solution in accordance with international standards and documentation
Experienced in technical purchase specification (TPS) for various crane and hoist types and Interaction with supplier globally for developing solution and sourcing
Fluency in English and good communication skills

Job Description :
· Responsible for handling crane development activities starting from Identifying requirement specification, concept generation, design calculation, Concept development, Prototype development and testing & verification of solution for specific platforms (Wind Turbine Generator)
· Developing customized winch and hoist mechanism for specific onshore and offshore Platforms
· Technical decision making like selection of best crane solution (service & replacement) for specific application
· Strengthen the crane domain within Nacelle & Hub department and drive to achieve excellence within the crane domain across the sites
· Develop close networks within Vestas globally and Interact with external partners, suppliers and consultants for developing optimum solution
· Co-operation with system and module responsible within Nacelle & Hub department for developing crane solution for new platform and also mark update of existing platform
· Involving stakeholders from service &installation, transportation and production during solution development
· Developing technical purchase specification for various crane and hoist types and Interaction with supplier globally for developing solution and sourcing
· Responsible for testing & verification of component and solution in accordance with international standards and documentation

Desired Profile :
· Domain expert on crane system (Product design skills from concept development to product roll out)
· Design expertise on winch and hoist mechanism for light and heavy duty application
· Experienced in General Mechanical Design
· Exposure to Casting and methods, sheet metals and fabricated structure
· Design & development expertise on EOT Crane for light & heavy duty application
· Exposure to design & development of jib Crane, Gantry Crane, Hydraulic loader crane and offshore crane application like marine crane, tower crane will be an added advantage
· Good exposure to lifting equipments and experienced on Service, installation, Repair/replacement process of heavy mechanical component by using crane/hoist
· Exposure to materials & heat treatment processes, surface protection is desirable
· Good in design calculations, like structural, bolted and welded joints, etc and documentation
· Good understanding/Experience in manufacturing process
· Project Management skills and handling small project team will be an added advantage
· Generalist, structured, open-minded, credible, ambitious, communicative, self motivated, robust
· Good in presentation skills
· Should be willing to travel abroad
