Administrator for DST project
Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the following contractual
appointments for a period of three years under the DST-funded research
project “Augmentation of Computing Resources for Simulation and Data Analysis
at the Inter University Accelerator Centre” :
1. Scientist B - 1 position (Rs. 22000 p.m.)
2. Scientist C - 1 position (Rs. 27000 p.m.)
3. Scientist D - 2 positions (Rs. 32000 p.m.)
4. Software Engineer/System Administrator - 2 positions (Rs. 27000 p.m.)

The positions are for the High Performance Computing Facility at the Centre, which consists presently of a 768-core 6 TF distributed cluster and a 80-core Sun M9000 Enterprise server. The facility caters to supercomputing needs of research staff of universities and institutes across the country. Besides software, hardware and user support for the facility, there is an opportunity for the appointees to contribute to research programs in computational nuclear physics, materials science, atomic and molecular physics and radiation biology carried out at the facility.
