Job Description :
- To execute the job as per requirement.
- To identify the job location with ship staff and surveyor on board.
- To coordinate with other sections to carry out in way jobs.
- To do inspection of fitting and final welding before call for owner’s inspection.
- To get the job cleared from Q.C.
- To carry out inspections along with the superintendent / surveyor.
- To maintain documentation for record.
- To prepare quotation, work completion form and invoice.
- Check the welders, whether they are following SMAW & GTAW standard according to the Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Make sure the fabricated pipe spools according to the drawings given by the Project Team.
- Check the pipe fit up as per the piping standards.
- Check the Root and Runs for Pipe joints, flange joints, elbow (bud, socket) joints up to 12” pipe (both Sch.40 & 80).
- Check the installed pipes as on drawings and find out the modifications made onboard vessel.
- Raising Site Queries, using spool drawings given by the Project Team.
- Make Sketches and get approval from the Project Team and Vessel Owner for onsite fabricated pipe lines
- Closely monitor the pipe line testing based on the specifications given by the owner of the vessel.
