Senior Product Test Engineer (Vacancy code: STE-HYD-10)

Latens Systems develops Software Products for the Digital TV Industry. High product quality is vital to our customers and the company is constantly striving to raise the quality standards across the portfolio of products. Following the successful launch of its multiple product lines into global markets and continued expansion the company is seeking to recruit a Senior Test Engineer for the Test Team in our Hyderabad office.
This is an opportunity for an exceptional individual who wants to move into a key role in a new and exciting technology area with an entrepreneurial, leading edge company.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate experience in the following
areas:
· Have completed a degree in Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic
Engineering,
· Computer Science or Business/IT or similar, or equivalent experience and skills
· ISTQB certification required
· Extensive experience in one or more of the following areas: Product Test,
Software Test, Test Automation, Script Development, Software Development, Embedded Software
· Development, Internet Technologies, Data Security, Unix/Linux,
Telecommunications, Data Communications
· Provide technical mentoring within the product test group and become a product expert in at least one or more product lines
· Develop and implement product test plans
· Knowledge of load/performance testing advantageous
· Interact with other groups within the business to plan and implement product test strategies
· Provide leadership in design and development of a leading edge automated test environment
· Work with both development engineering and system architects to ensure all products are designed and implemented with consideration for testability
· Assist product support in resolving any urgent customer issues that require help outside the support group
· Experience in a software systems testing role in multiple projects/products

The person appointed must be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
· Technically competent all rounder able to quickly understand new technologies and solutions.
· Ability to work with a wide range of technical and non-technical people.
· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
· Experience developing with leading test tools (e.g. Winrunner, QTP etc.)
· Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines.
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Enjoy a hands-on approach and be prepared to get the job done.
Training will be provided in all aspects of the role and associated technologies.
As we operate in a Global Environment, the role may provide opportunities for travel.
