* Project Description :Leighton India commenced operations in India in 1998 and has its offices in New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. Leighton India has undertaken a range of Civil Engineering, Building, Offshore Oil & Gas and Telecommunications projects across the country, and has firmly established itself as the leading international contractor in India. Based in Mumbai we have our Indian Oil & Gas Operation which currently has a strong and robust order book that extends into the second half of 2011 on major and significant pipelay, pipeline replacement and single point mooring schemes.

* Job summary :The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Leighton India Oil & Gas Logistics Department to ensure that it provides the necessary services to the projects and the company in an efficient and well managed manner. Responsibilities include obtaining statutory clearances for vessels, personnel, transportation, importation of plant and materials. Apart from managing the above functions the Divisional Logistics Manager would deal with service providers including agency services, transporters, shippers and vessel charters. The profile also demands the responsibility of obtaining the necessary clearances and ongoing compliance with regulations surrounding Special Purpose Ships, Specified Period License, Ministry of Defense, Naval Security Clearance, Ministry of Home Affairs and other statutory requirements. Other responsibilities include the mobilization, demobilization and day to day management of all vessels deployed on our projects and also for the planning, coordination and execution of safe vessel and personnel movements and day to day marine operation of vessels to support the offshore works. Another key responsibility will be dealing with governments and other quasi-government organizations regarding compliance with statutory clearances, approvals, compliance with vessel regulations, and with customs officials.

* Responsibility :Any applicants will have 15 years+ experience in offshore marine logistics management with technical and commercial knowledge about marine spreads & offshore vessels. You will posses good communication and strong leadership skills and have a strong client management focus. Any applicants will be a qualified, professional engineer, preferably with further management qualifications. You will also be a strategic thinker with advanced problem solving skills. You will be a self starter and highly motivated.

During my last 20 years service in mechanical field, I had worked on many types of vessels, oil tankers, cargo vessels, bulk carriers and offshore jobs tug boats , supply vessels , draggers , rigs , etc .

I had worked on the main engines (SULZER, MAN-B&W, MITSUBISHI, HYUNDAI) up 900 bore and 301,550 dwt capacity of ship . I had worked on many types of two stroke(MC50,MC70,MC90,RND 70,RND90,ETC)and four stroke Diesel Engine used for ships (inline and “v ‘’ type engine ) I had worked on Auxiliary Engine (CATERPILLER , DAIHATSU , WARTSILLA , YANMAR , etc ,) Various type of pump ,Different type of Valves, Multistage Compressors, Deck Machineries Heat Exchangers , Hydraulic valve, Actuators, Boilers mountings .I.G Blowers and F D Blowers and other machineries.
I am also capable to overhaul the individual type Fuel pump, Air starting valves, Fuel injector.
I am capable of carrying out overhaul job Air compressor and different types of pumps.
TYPES OF PUMPS
Centrifugal pump, Hydraulic pump and Multi stage water pump.
I am capable of overhauling different types of valves including Actuators for Globe valves, Gate valves and Butterfly valves.
I am capable of carrying out jobs on all types of coolers and carrying out jobs on rudders and propellers.
I am knowledge of taking Calibration of Mechanical component equipment by Micrometers as required during overhaul of equipments in inches and millimeters.
