The center has completed its first phase of growth and has emerged as a major product engineering, design development center for Eaton’s global customers – primarily in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions.

EIEC – Aerospace Electrical Sensing and Controls group has opening for Associate Engineer -Mechanical in Aerospace Power Distribution engineering. The engineer will design & develop electrical contactor, relay, and power distribution units for Aerospace applications.

Applicant must have experience in the New product development, design of parts/assemblies and authoring of engineering documentation for power distribution or related products for the Aerospace systems. He should have good understanding of RTCA DO160, MIL and other applicable standards. He must be self motivated and possess good communication skills.

Educational Requirements : Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering

Desired : Masters in Mechanical Engineering
1-3 years experience in areas of power distribution related products
Select engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations.
Modify existing products to support customer, manufacturing, applicable regulatory and industry standard, and market requirement.
Support Creation of new designs and advanced methodologies to support the Technical Roadmap of the organization.
Review Supplier Document Requirements List (SDRL) documents based on product requirements, customer specifications or industry standards like RTCA DO160, MIL, etc.,.
Review, design proposals and documentation required to define & control products.
Participate in design reviews, both customer and internal as required
Review reliability predictions, and Design Failure Modes and Effects analysis (FMEA) and structural/thermal/CFD results.
Participate in multi-discipline concurrent development and corrective action teams.
Coordinate and support prototype manufacturing of products.
Working on Pro/E & Autocad software

Desired :
DFSS Green Belt certification.
Experience on structural/vibration/thermal/electro-magnetic analysis and Requirements Management will be an added advantage.
