SST India Pvt. Ltd, an associate company to SST Systems Inc. San Jose, California (SST USA) to market and support SST USA’s and other third parties’ design and engineering software products to the industrial plant and other major construction markets in India. Though SST USA’s products were being sold in India through resellers, they were successful only in closing sales but were deficient in providing training and after sales support and services. SST India’s initial charter was to rectify this deficiency of resellers and to more effectively market and serve the rapidly expanding Indian market. Another charter for SST India was to develop additional applications software that can be marketed worldwide.

PROJECT DETAILS :
- Main project : FABRICATION OF ELECTRIC CAR WITH ON-BOARD CHARGING SYSTEM
Description : Our project was designed keeping in mind the need for the decrease of the pollution levels . In future the petroleum products demand will increase so we have found solution for these problems. Today’s infrastructure is study to slower charging cycles of battery electric cars which must be parked for several hours while they recharge making them suited for a short distance travel but not suitable for the long distance driving. To overcome these drawbacks the run time charging mechanism is introduced in our project. This can be achieved by using small diesel engine or petrol engine with alternator system .
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES :
- Present the papers in “My idea programme “organised by villgro,with the support of PSG college of technology-Coimbatore & IIT- Madras.
- Present the paper in”MECTROTZ’11” at KARPAGAM UNIVERSITY,title on “Electric car with on-board charging system”.
- In plant training in “Salem steel plant ”.
- Participate in Workshop on”AUTOMEET’11” conducted by TATA MOTORS in associated with MIT,Anna university-Chennai.
- Participate in Workshop on “Emerging trends and technologies using solid works”.organised by CADD centre-salem.
