Job Description :

Qualification : BE / BTech or Post Graduate.

Diploma in Material Management from recognized Institution will be an added advantage.

Desired Profile :
* Around 15 - 20 yrs experience in Purchase preferably in project purchase with medium to large corporates in Manufacturing/Process industries.
* Sound commercial knowledge related to all contractual aspects, applicable taxes etc of project procurement handling for inland as well as import procurement.
* Should have good understanding of Bank documentation and International LC.
* Should have good understating of imports and documentation.
* Knowledge of cost base analysis and value engineering and vendor price evaluation.
* Good understanding of steel and power vendors.
* Should necessarily have good communication skills, good negotiation skills and should be proficient with the legal aspects of procurement.
* Ability to communicate within and outside the organization and effective man management capability.

Job Role :
1. Understand the project schedules from a purchase perspective.
2. Closely liaise with technical heads to prepare the Bill of Material requirements
3. Co Relate with the technical drawings
4. Plan for enqueries on technical and commercial basis
5. Identify national and international ( Chinese / South African) suppliers
6. Guide the purchase team in commercial negotiation.
7. Internal liaison with departments like Finance, Legal on contract framing and issuing.
8. Develop MIS for project, purchase and control
9. Timely anticipation of deliveries, slippages to avoid project delay and hereby monitoring losses.
