Academic Projects
M. Phil Research Project : Putative tomato transgenic plants raised using pBINAR TA29-hSAMDC construct by Agrobacterium mediated transformation were used for molecular analysis. Putative transgenic plants were characterized primarily by PCR and then copy number and integration was checked by Southern Hybridisation. Further RT-PCR was done to check transcript levels in transgenic pants which were positive for both PCR and Souhern Hybridization. Anthers were collected from varying flower bud stages and checked for pollen viability. Further polyamine analysis was done taking anthers of different stages to verify the alteration in polyamine levels.
