WALK–IN INTERVIEW :

The National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research (NCAOR), an Autonomous Society under the Minitry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, has embarked on the prestigious project for acquiring a new ICE CLASS SHIP for the polar and other expeditions of India. In connection with this, it is proposed to have Project Technical Assistants as part of implementation of the ship acquisition. The posts are purely temporary and on contract mode. Candidates fulfilling the prescribed eligibility conditions are invited to attend a walk-in interview at NCAOR on 22.11.2010 (Monday)

Qualification & Experience : Diploma in Ship Building or Mechanical Engineering

Experience : 1 year good analytical skills combined with Basic & Detailed design of ships or production experience in a design organization / shipyard with knowledge of AUTOCAD or other relevant softwares.
Knowledge of any ship design packages, IMO/Class Rules & Regulations.


Nature of Responsibilities :

The nature of job is to assist Project Manager in all technical and administrative jobs pertaining to tendering and selection of construction shipyard, evaluation of technical inputs provided by consultants, monitoring the performance of contractors, supervision of ship construction, Research Vessel management, extensive sailings and any other jobs as assigned.

Consolidated Emoluments : Rs. 25,000/- p.m.
Age limits : Should not exceed 30 years as on the date of interview. if such
suitable candidate is not available, the same will be treated as unreserved.

Tenure : The posts are purely temporary basis. The assignment is initially for period of one year, which may be curtailed/extended depending on performance of candidate and requirement


N.B. :-
1. The date of Walk-in interview is on 22.11.2010 and is the cut-off date for all the purposes.
2. Director, NCAOR has the right to relax the eligibility criteria of the candidates of exceptional track record and experience matching to the requirement and also to cancel the requirement process at any stage, without assigning any reason thereof.
3. The person engaged will not be treated on par with regular employees of NCAOR and shall have no right to claim implicit or explicit for their absorption or regularization in NCAOR.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

All candidates are required to bring the original documents related to educational qualifications, date of birth, Passport, work experience, caste certificate etc. Duly attested copies of all the documents must be submitted with the Bio-data. One self attested recent passport size photograph should be pasted in the appropriate place in the bio-data. The original documents may be produced at the time of interview.
Otherwise, candidate will not be allowed to attend the interview. The Bio-data should necessarily contain qualification, experience, passport and age details.

About Project :- Piston is a part of engine. Piston moves inside the cylinder. For movement of piston some external force is applied. Piston is used for increasing or decreasing the volume in side the cylinder. This reduced expansion means that you will not need to use undersized pistons (that will grow to fill the bore as they heat up) and engine will not have large tolerances causing piston slap at cold starts and long warm ups in cold weather.
Application :- Piston used in all type of engine like petrol, diesel ,steam ,hydraulic engine etc.
