Society For Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering & Research(Sameer)
Applications are invited for the post of Research Scientist & Project Assistant
(Electronics and Communication) on contract basis for a period of 3 (Three)
Years from eligible candidates.
Post Details:
Research Scientist – No. of Post: 03 (Three)
Qualification: B.E / B. Tech degree in Electronics and Communication with minimum
65 % marks from any Government recognized institution.
Experience in the following areas will be given preference:
• Electromagnetic Interference and compatibility
• EDA Tools
Age: Not more than 28 years on joining the duty if selected. Age limit can be relaxed
for deserving candidates.
Remuneration: Consolidated pay of Rs.20,250/- per month and Rs.1000/- as annual
increment. For post graduates, higher consolidated pay may be considered
depending on the performance in the interview.
Project Assistant – No. of Post: 06 (Six)
Qualification: Diploma degree in Electronics and Communication (DECE) with
minimum 75 % marks from any Government recognized institution.
Experience in the following areas will be given preference:
• Awareness on Electromagnetic Interference and compatibility
Age: Not more than 25 years on joining duty if selected. Age limit can be relaxed for
deserving candidates.
Remuneration: Consolidated pay of Rs.10,470/- per month and Rs.700/- as annual
increment. For deserving candidates, higher consolidated pay may be considered
depending on the performance in the interview.

• Written test/Interview will be held at SAMEER – Centre for Electromagnetics,
Second Cross Road, C.I.T. Campus, Taramani, Chennai-600113.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the written test/Interview.
• Number of posts likely to differ depending on requirement at the time of
interview.
