Designation : Crop Specialist

Job Description :
1. To help establishment and technical management of farm units for assigned crops.
2. To monitor the growth and cultivation as assigned crops & maintain growth data.
3. To advise and guide field personnel regarding all aspects of assigned crops management including plant spacing, water management, nutrients management & fertigation schedules, soil management crop establishment, weed management, Insect and disease management.
4. To conduct training programme for farm personnel on management of assigned crops
5. To formulate specific Good agriculture practices, help in preparing GAP Manual.
6. To plan and arrange for EURO GAP certification.
7. To identify & advise technical services cell regarding suitability of various cultivators and sources of planting material and support technical cell in procuring.
8. To advise field personnel on post harvesting care, packing and storage of crops.
9. To help farm managers / executives in preparation of budgets, monitors actual costs and help in controlling costs relating to cultivation of crops.

Experience :
1. 4 -12 Yrs of experience.
2. Experience in Agronomy or technical services deptt. of a drip irrigation company or seed/ tissue culture company in advising farmers/ client on agronomy practices related to Banana, Papaya, Pomegranate, Amla, Watermelon.
3. Alternatively first hand experience in managing assigned crop.

Education : Graduate in Horticulture
Post graduate in Agronomy/ Horticulture.

Location : Madhya Pradesh / Chhattisgarh
