2 Electrical Degree in Engineering (or) AMIE in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Electronics &Communication / Power Engineering
3 Civil Degree in Engineering (or) AMIE in Civil / Civil & Structural Engineering
4 Instrumentation & ControlDegree in Engineering (or) AMIE in instrumentation / Electronics & Instrumentation /Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
5 Chemical Engineering Degree in Engineering (or) AMIE in Chemical Engineering.
6 Mining Degree in Engineering (or) AMIE in Mining with Second Class Mine Manager Certificateof Competency under Coal Mine Regulations, 1957.
7 Mine Survey Degree / Diploma in Mining (or) Mining & Mines Survey (or) Civil Engineering and inpossession of Mines Surveyor Certificate of Competency under CMR, 1957.
8 Geology M.Tech. (or) M.Sc. (Full Time) in Geology from a recognised unversity / institute.
9 Scientific M.Tech. (or) M.Sc. (Full Time) in Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry / Organic Chemistry /Inorganic Chemistry / Physical Chemistry.
10 Finance a) A Pass in final examination of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (CA) /Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) or Degree in any discipline withMBA of minimum 2 years duration (Full Time) with specialisation in Finance b) Working knowledge in Hindi is essential.
11 Common & Others a) A Degree in Engineering (or) Any U.G. Degree with P.G. Degree of minimum 2 yearsduration (Full Time) in Management / Arts / Science / Commerce.b) Should be fluent in Reading, Writing and speaking in Hindi.

SUPERVISORY CADRE
12 Mining(a) Diploma of minimum three years duration in Mining (or) Mining & Mine Surveying froma recognised institution (with 60% marks for UR/OBC and 50% of marks for SC/STcandidates) and(b) Possession of Overman Certificate of Competency under Coal Mines Regulationsissued by Director General of Mines Safety (DGMS, Dhanbad)
