Ground Training and Examinations
The DGCA specifies a ground-training syllabus of 350 hours for a CPL student. However, OFS has formulated a syllabus of over 600 hours, to wellequip every CPL holder to be successful at the time of Airline interviews. OFS Ground Training includes the syllabus for RTR (Radio Telephony-Restricted), an examination conducted by the Ministry of Communication, Govt. of India. This syllabus covers Air Regulation, Meteorology, Air Navigation, Technical (General), Specific (Cessna 152), Specific (Cessna 172) and RTR.

Ground Examination


During the course, students will have to successfully clear the following examinations conducted by the DGCA, Ministry of Civil Aviation and WPC, Ministry of Communication:

Students are required to take examinations stipulated by the DGCA at Chennai or other approved centers (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkatta etc.) to qualify for their licence. The detailed exam schedule can be obtained from the Operations Office. The Radio Telephony exam is conducted once in every two-months at the various cities mentioned above.

Description : Characterization of drug and polymer, preparation of tablet by wet granulation method. Evaluation of Precompression studies like bulk density, tapped density and etc. In vitro release studies and release kinetics. Development and evaluation of prepared Acyclovir tablets.
B.Pharm
Title : Phytochemical and pharmacological screening of Clerodendrum inerme leaf extract. Description : Plant literature review, preparation of various extracts, preparation of aqueous suspension of the organic extract. Preliminary phytochemical screening of Ethanolic, ethyl acetate, petroleum ether and chloroform extracts on frog’s heart and rectus abdominal muscle.
Workshops attended :
‘Recent Trends in Drugs & Cosmetics Development’ organized jointly by SRM college of Pharmacy & Huclin Research Limited, Chennai.
