Job Title : Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Department : Hardware & Systems Group

Key Responsibilities

* Design / develop / debug hardware boards for Multimedia products and network accessories targeting "Digital Home"
* Responsible for co-ordination with the manufacturing hours for various products.
* Responsible for interacting with various vendors, customers, component manufacturers and others for product design.
* Institute process methodologies to enable efficient design/development and ensure introduction of "First time right" products

Education and Experience Required

* B.E./M.E./M.Tech. in EE / ECE with minimum of 4 years experience in design and development of boards having switch mode power supplies, RF and analog circuits. (Multimedia Products is a plus)
* Strong exposure to High speed board design with Power supply, RF, analog & mixed signal components
* Must have working experience with op-amps, LNAs, FETs, power supplies, ADCs , DACs and control systems based on embedded processors or microcontrollers for low noise applications.
* Good Knowledge of physical layer of digital wireless and wired communications (Modulation, access methods, protocols : USB, Ethernet, OFDM, FSK)
* Worked with schematic capture tools like ORCAD and familiar with board layout tools like PADS, Allegro, etc.
* Should be able to debug boards using Oscilloscope, Spectrum analyzer and other test equipments
* Good understanding on Power, Thermal, FCC/CE compliance testing of products
* Good analytical skills and problem solving skills
* Strong communications skills to interact with vendors for outsourced tasks
* Ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
