It undertook expansion of its sugar manufacturing capacity from 1250 TCD to 2400 TCD in 1986 and further to 5000 TCD in 2006.

    Title : AUTOMATION OF SIGNAL ACQUISITION FOR
    PHASE CALIBRATION IN INDIAN MST RADAR

    Description:
    The project is to implement Phase calibration scheme is designed to measure pulsed phases of transmit and receive paths of each sub array. The measured signal is of two forms, i.e., I & Q. Amplitude of I & Q are manually entered into the software for getting phase shift values. The process of feeding the values into the system is a time consuming one and also an error prone technique. So this is made automatic by using Analog to Digital Convertor, the I & Q values get stored into an excel file. But this file cannot be read by the software installed in MST radar for phase calibration. So a program is developed using MATLAB to read the particular file and to calculate the phase shift values. This project is being implemented in National Atmospheric Research Laboratory, Gadanki.

    Title : CHARACTERISTICS ANALYSIS OF MST RADAR
    PHASED ANTENNA ARRAY

    Description:
    The project is to study the MST Radar phased antenna array. Antennas are the electrical devices that are useful to transmit and receive the electromagnetic signals. A single antenna gives less information compared to a group of antennae. For this purpose in MST radar, 1024 number of antennae is arranged in a square grid of 32x32 arrays. The antenna used here is “Yagi-Uda antenna” and are arranged in planar array. All the antennas are connected to each other in such a way to produce large power and necessary narrow beam width to get echoes from weak targets of earth’s atmosphere.
