Profile of Gowra:

Project description:
The goal of the project is to convert the manually drafted drawings into 2D soft copies. Because of in-transparency in the drawings we generated 3D models and obtained complete dimensions to give manufacturers. The project consists Fabricated parts like radial gates, skin plates, stiffeners, anchor rods, horizontal girders and machine components like trunion, trunion hub, trunion bracket, gantry crane, crab, gear box, rope drum, etc .We supplied the complete specifications as per client standards to fabrication operators. The main difficulty in the project is design of trunion, which takes all the forces from the dame gates through horizontal girders. The horizontal girders (3 No) are connected to trunion. We developed all the dimensions with reference to the trunion.

Title : Welding Fixtures for Multi Axial Vehicle (MAV)
Client : Eicher motors Pvt ltd. Pithampur, M.P.

Project Description:
OBJECTIVE: Welding fixtures design for MAV COWL to club the different parts of the COWL by means of SPOT and CO2 welding.
INPUTS:
- Process sheets for welding locations
- 3d IGES model of the components to be welded
- Standard parts drawings like handles, tenon, shim packs etc.,
- Catalogues for vendor parts
- Manufacturing standards
- Reference drawings of previous fixture designs
OUTPUT
- Fixture design with 3D models in PRO/E
- Gas cutting and manufacturing drawings for individual parts except standards parts
- Group and General assembly drawings
- Technical part list (BOM)
- AutoCAD 2d drawings and Hole tables for base plates
- Check point reports based component for final inspection purpose

APPROACH WITH TOOLS (PRO/E and AutoCAD)
- Family tables extensively used to create the library parts. UDF’s are used for creating standard features like center holes.
- For concept design we used top down approach to develop the parts and for easy control of assembly we used skeleton model with ref. to carlanes.
- Interference check of the clamps in opening and closing conditions for all fixtures.
- Component interference check for all fixtures
- Manufacturing drawings creation considering GAS CUTTING allowances, Applying GD& T as per manufacturing and functional requirement
- Simplified representations are used to minimize regeneration time and to show only required components in the drawing views.
- Grid is used for carlanes display as well for the assembly reference in the drawings
- For base plate’s drawings are exported into DXF format to create hole tables easily in AutoCAD.
- BOM exported from assembly files and converted as EXCEL sheets for technical part lists.
- Symbol palette for BOM balloons with reference to the technical part list
Project # 3
Title : Legacy data conversion for AXLE and ENGINE LINE FIXTURES.
Client : EICHER MOTORS LTD (CV Unit), Indore.
Software : PRO-E (wildfire 2.0)

- The objective of project is conversion of axle and engine assembly lines into 3D models and manufacturing drawing files for the same.
- The supplied inputs are 2D drawings. The 2D drawings have been converted to 3D and checked with the available models in the floor. If there are any changes, Changes have been updated the models in drawing and released with new revision numbers.
- For few fixtures and hangers we don’t have 2D drawings. They are developed from physical models on the floor.
- While generated 2D manufacturing drawings, considering different factors like gas cutting allowance, dowel holes representation, profile cut, tolerance and required geometric tolerance.

Title : WELDING FIXTURES FOR TRANSFORMER TANK& TOP COVER FOR TRANSFORMER TANK
Client : VIJAI ELECTRICALS Ltd –HYD
Software : PRO-E (wildfire 2.0)

OBJECTIVE: Design and Manufacturing of welding fixtures for various sizes of Transformer tank and its cover of different sizes.
- Concepts for designing the fixtures for various transformer tanks
- Review with the Client teams at their locations and studying the production process and welding process.
- After concept freezing by the client, preparing the details drawings for parts and BOM for the assembly.
- Co-ordinate with manufacturers and supplier for the quotations and technical issues.

Description: CNC250 is a special purpose Pipe-Bending machine used to bend the pipes up to 250mm diameter.

- Browsing the standard parts like Hydraulic cylinders, Motors, Bearings, Guide rails,
Sprockets, lead screws, couplings Etc.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Received inputs from the client in terms of 2D AutoCAD drawings.
- Converted those 2D mainframe drawings into Pro E 3D part models.
- All those part models were assembled and checked with the new C6.6 engine placement.
- Modified the mainframe assembly to accommodate and with stand the new C6.6 engine.
