Applications are invited from qualified, experienced and highly committed civil engineers to
shoulder responsibilities for designing buildings and structures for nuclear facilities as per the
following requirement:
Name of the Post : Scientific Officer/Engineer ‘D’ (Group ‘A’ Gazetted Post)
Number of vacancies : 06 (Six)
Qualification : M.E/M.Tech or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering/Structural
Engineering /Architecture with minimum 60% marks from a
recognized university.
Place of work : BARC, Tarapur, Maharashtra.
Nature of work : Selected candidates will get opportunity to take up the
responsibility of design and construction of structures/buildings
for nuclear facilities in the country.
Application should be accompanied by non-refundable crossed Indian Postal
Order/Demand Draft for Rs.50/= (Rupees Fifty) Only drawn in favour of Pay and
Accounts Officer, BARC Facilities, payable at Kalpakkam.

1. Application, preferably typewritten on thick foolscap paper, should be submitted in
the format given below.

3. PHOTOGRAPH: A recent passport size photograph should be affixed in the space
provided in the application and one additional copy of the passport size photograph
should be sent along with the application.

- 2006-2007 : Fit replacement of jacket water pump in a diesel engine: The project consisted of finding out one of the most powerful diesel engine and according to its size, heat transfer of the system and the cooling required formulated the heat efficiency and the input /output required for a water pump suitable for the system.
