Walk-in Interviews
1. Applications are invited on plain paper for the following purely temporary posts under
an extramural ICMR Project “Web‐based online manuscript editorial processing and
production of articles of the Indian Journal of Medical Research(IJMR)”

1. Computer Programmers (2)
Qualifications - Essential : Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Computer Sciences, etc.) or
Masters Degree in Science/Maths/Statistics or Computer Applications
Desirable : (i) Experience as Programmer
Age : Up to 30 years (relaxation as per Govt. of India rules)
Salary : Rs. 25,313/- per month (consolidated)

2. Peon (1)
Qualification : Class VIII and knowledge in reading and writing at least one regional language
Age: Up to 25 years (relaxation as per Govt. of India rules)
Salary : Consolidated Rs 9896/- per month
The candidates fulfilling essential and desirable qualifications and experience for
Computer Programmer posts may attend the Walk-in interview at the ICMR Headquarters,
Ansari Nagar, New Delhi, on 29th November , 2010 at 9:30 am.

If no suitable candidates are found for the posts of Computer Programmer, the post will
be downgraded to Research Assistant/Statistical Assistant with a consolidated salary of Rs.
19,481/-.
The candidates fulfilling essential and desirable qualifications and experience for the post
of Peon may attend the Walk-in interview at the ICMR Headquarters, Ansari Nagar, New
Delhi, on 16th November , 2010 at 9:30 am.

The candidates have to bring an application with a recent passport size photograph duly
affixed on it, original certificates, and attested photocopies of relevant certificates. Also bring
five photo copies of their Curriculum Vitae and all other certificates/ testimonials in original and
report to A.O. (P&I) (Room No. 206) at 9.00 A.M.
The selected candidates will work in the editorial section of the Indian Journal of
Medical Research . He/she will be associated with the Journal and among other assignments, in
the web-based editorial management of the Journal.
The posts are purely temporary till the duration of the project and extendable at three
months periods. The appointment is terminable with one month notice from either side. The
selected candidate will have no claim for regular appointment under ICMR. Benefits of
Provident Fund, CCA, Leave Travel Concession, Medical claim etc. are not admissible.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending interview
