British Telecom, UK : British Telecom, UK is one of the leading providers of telecom services in Europe. BT had a network access strategy to deliver an integrated intelligent physical inventory system. The goal was to achieve a full ‘end-to-end’ model of network asset connectivity by using an automated planning system. As part of this strategy, the PIPeR (Physical Inventory Planning eRecords) program was initiated to achieve the most cost-effective solution for end-to-end network connectivity. The software used was MicroStation SE.
my responsibility is to get data conversion of the telecom features as per the project specs and validation of the output as per the checklists.

With revenue of 10 billion Swiss Francs in 2004 and a workforce of 15,000 (approximately), the Swisscom Group is the leading telecom company in Switzerland. As part of continuous endeavors to maintain a high level of quality and customer satisfaction, Swisscom wanted to go in for a new PTA (Project Planning tool for Access Network) system. This system called for data conversion, cleanup, migration, and integration of the existing data to the target system viz. GE Smallworld.

Key Span Energy is an AM/FM project dealing with conversion of primary data and secondary data to the land base received from ASI. The area is subdivided in to shipments. Conversion includes the features like Poles, Fuses, Switches, Transformers, Capacitors, Reclosures, Customer Service Points and Streetlights, moving them to the correct location and capturing primary and secondary /streetlight conductors, service lines and missing devices easements and minor land updations from paper source and Orthos. After conversion the processing need to be done using SQL Database Programs and the data is to be loaded in to the ARCFM. Corresponding DGN, MDB, ExACT reports and Arc reports need to be sent to the client along with Delivery.
