BLAST FURNACE OPERATION

- Coke rate reduction technique with increasing HBT, proper charging sequence, burden distribution, gas utilization, high top pressure, elimination of hanging, slipping, offrod furnace, vary coke bed thickness, blast humidification, calibration of load cell periodically, elimination of wind volume reduction.
- Controlling of blast furnace irregularities such as hanging, hearth chilled, channeling, tuyere burning, hearth breakout etc.
- Hot blast stoves operation with PLC and manual mode
- Raw material quality and its impact on furnace behavior.
- Importance of BF gas cleaning, maintaining, minimum out dusts content.
- Maintaining of GCP water quality..
- Controlling and removing of alkali oxides with low alkali burden frequently giving cleanup charges.
