Position reporting to : General Manager - Logistics
Job Summary :
He should have handled the dispatch and logistics independently in steel or heavy industries. Should be well versed with relevant statutory requirements and best practices in managing inventories, outbound logistics & dispatches.
Roles and responsibilities :
• Developing plans and strategies for outbound logistics to ensure that the goods reach to the customers in time and safe manner. • Preparing dispatch plans and ensuring the implementation of the same. • Managing inventory control in an SAP driven environment. • Managing logistics operations – coordinating with shipping, transport and other external bodies to achieve cost effective solutions. • Closely monitoring dispatch operations and ensuring quick clearances • Continuously analyze the supply chain to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities. • Analyze the operation process and determine appropriate methodology to cut down cost activities and formulate methods to maximize profits by cost optimization. • Ensuring that product warehousing activities are performed in an efficient and safe manner
Educational Qualifications :
Any Graduate + MBA (Materials Mgmt) with 8-10 years of experience in Managing Logistics Operations of Steel Mfg. Company
Work Experience :
Any Graduate + MBA (Materials Mgmt) with 8-10 years of experience in Managing Logistics Operations of Steel Mfg. Company. Should have exposure of Managing Inventory Control in an SAP driven environment.
