    Job description
    To plan, organise, coordinate, supervise and control the activities in the shift at an O&M site. To manage the complete Power Plant functions correctly and efficiently as per laid down procedures/ contract.
    Ensuring the proper functioning of all equipments, attending to the problems encountered and developing solutions to counter them.

    Responsibilities
    1. Supervision of all the equipments for their functioning and attending to all the problems encountered.
    2. In case of major problems inform superiors for guidance and instructions.
    3. Responsible for activities involved during shift and statutory boiler operations.
    4. To continuously monitor/measure the contract benchmarks, perform and analyse the data, take corrective actions, in order to achieve desired level of technical performance.
    5. Plan shift activities ensuring implementation of safe work practices of various equipments like, boiler, turbine, coal handling plant, cooling tower, feed water pumps, DM plants, etc.
    6. To plan and allocate work, prepare shift plan, train and develop staff to maintain/service equipment, provide performance feedback in order to achieve plant performance targets through management of staff.
    7. To gather and analyse data, prepare and submit shift report.
    8. To comply with the safety standards, co-ordinate with clients for resources, conduct audits, take corrective actions train staff in safety drill in order to avoid accidents and damage to property and life.

    1. Responsible for the company to get the ship dry-docked, and successfully accomplish all the jobs in a stipulated time in a cost effective way.
    2. Compilation of all information such as job specification, equipment details, spares required, staging required, safety procedures to be followed etc, and address the same to the yard.

    5. Clarification and agreement with yard representative of required condition for the vessel on arrival as well as requirements for docking, taking into consideration specified work and ship’s procedures.
    6. Meeting with yard Representative and Staff on arrival and introduces them to the ship’s normal practice, Safety regulations and procedures.
    7. Identification on site of specified works with the Services concerned and agreement on technical Aspects according to the ship’s practice and capabilities.
    8. Day to day jobs such as propeller shaft withdrawal spares renewed, surveys conducted and any other jobs done to be reported to office and record as per ISM standards.
    9. Ensure all the jobs were done in a safe manner and completed without any defects as per ISM standards.

    SHORE BASED EXPERIENCE .
