ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reporting to the Application Engineering Team Manager and the Area Sales Director, become a valuable and valued member of our exciting and expert sales team, contributing to our overall strategy and its successful execution.
Provide technical expertise and support in the positioning, acceptance and sales of EXFO’s next generation transmission and datacom test portfolio
Supporting EXFOs key growth territory of India with the goal to delight our clientele with excellent and expert pre-sales technical support
Helping to devise and deliver product based training to our internal and external sales teams
Close liaison with HQ based product management and R&D on product compliance and feedback
Close liaison with HQ based product management and marcom teams to fine tune and deliver New Product Introductions
Taking responsibility for effective deployment and adoption of demo equipment for field trials
Support the delivery of customer product training and post sales support.
Working together with RSM/ASD to devise strategy for increasing EXFO brand name within the Telecommunication marketplace in India.
Travel extensively within India, ~ 40 to 50% of time will be spent at client interface

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
1. Degree holder in a relevant Telecommunications degree or equivalent ‘real life’ experience
2. The candidate should have an extensive knowledge of the main transmission technology and applications (SDH, next generation SDH, OTN, ATM, Frame Relay, Fibre Channel, Carrier Ethernet, TCP/IP, Voice over IP, etc.).
3. Knowledge of optical physical layer testing (optical dispersion, optical spectral analysis) is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
4. Ability to competently write and speak in English is mandatory, other local languages will be advantageous.
5. Self starter and able to communicate and interact with people at all levels.
6. Autonomous, well organized, and results-oriented.
7. Any experience in supporting sales and distribution network channel is advantageous.
8. Possess leadership qualities and good interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Able to work independently and under minimum supervision.
