Job Description
This position will assists in design, development, implementation and support of web-based software projects with defined scope and deliverables. Contributes to a small technical team to accomplish projects according to Sears Holdings standards. Additional areas include leading technical discussions, code reviews, solution documentation, team mentoring, and defining overall best practice as related to web development.

Essential Job Functions:
Designs, codes, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, and§ documents programs using various programming languages and various operating systems with minimal supervision to comply with corporate standards.
Assists§ in installation of software ensuring systems function as designed, updates systems to stakeholder specifications and provides necessary support of software modifications.
Performs routine systems analysis, logic diagramming, test§ data creation as requested to meet stakeholder specifications.
Provides§ technical support to existing production systems and assists during software upgrades and implementation of software changes.
Analyzes and makes§ recommendations concerning utilization of system and business resources; ensures systems function as designed in order to meet business and stakeholder needs.
Documents the processes used in the installation and maintenance of§ systems to ensure clear knowledge and record of action.
Provides and§ responds to on-call status and ensures systems function as designed in order to maintain efficient operations.
Develops software using structured§ development methodology in order to ensure appropriate process is followed. Adheres to all of Sears Holdings SDLC software development methodology, standards, and documentation requirements.
Point of contact for customers§ and other organizations to resolve application issues.
Participate in§ support on-call rotation, including carrying and responding to pager and other on-call notifications for support issues.

Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements
Proficiency in§ developing and supporting web applications.
Experience and demonstrated§ technical expertise in using the following tools, environments, frameworks, and databases:
oJava/J2EE
oTomcat
oEclipse
oClear Case
oProductivity Software (Word, Excel, Visio, Access)
Current in new§ web development technologies, as well as new opportunities to develop team knowledge base.
Full life cycle experience in web§ development.
Experience with on/off shore team coordination to insure ‘best§ practice’ standards and process.
Technical expertise in distributed system§ design and development
Able to communicate effectively in English with peers§ and with all levels of management in a clear and professional manner; verbally and written
Must be willing to accept and influence a fast pace of§ organizational change
Strong conceptual and analytical skills: problem§ solving, performance tuning, test case analysis
Ability to multitask and§ comfortable working in a large organization across multiple teams

Preferred Qualifications:
Source code control§ experience
Experience with IBM mainframe technology§
Experience with Silk§ Performer or other automated testing tools, such as JMeter
Experience with§ pricing systems is a plus
2+ Years Experience
