It was established in 1982 with the aim to provide maternal and childcare services to communities surrounding the industrial belt in Nandesari area of Vadodara district. The Foundationâs intervention today covers a variety of sectors such as health, pre-school education, relief and rehabilitation and providing livelihood opportunities. Currently, the Foundation covers around 14 lakh population in more than 1,200 villages of twelve blocks of Vadodara district with the goal of reducing the Infant and Maternal mortality, in line with the Millennium Development Goals (1990-2015), the National Population Policy (2000) & Gujarat State Population Policy (2002) and the National Rural Health Mission (2005-2012).

A Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Newborn care (CEmONC) unit has been set up by Deepak Foundation in the premises of the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Jabugam, Pavi Jetpur, in collaboration with the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Gandhinagar.
It has a 24-hour referral service, and linkages with emergency transport facility. The unit receives more than 300 referrals of mothers and newborns every month through the emergency transport services.

Technical Requirements :
Carry out at least 60 deliveries per month, which may constitute 15% of complicated cases needing C-sections.
Need to have to carry out at least 4 D&Cs in a month and 36 in a year
Have to carry out at least 4 TL camps and 4 blood donation camps in a year.

Administrative Requirements :
Overall management of the hospital and a service orientation.
The candidate should preferably have previous experience in the same sector, be results oriented, and possess excellent leadership and management qualities to lead the team.
Supervision of administrative staff and daily administrative affairs of the CEmONC.
Skills in strategic planning, management, and budgeting

Desired Candidate Profile :
The candidate should be an MBBS, MD (O & G) or MBBS, DGO with atleast 5-10 years of work experience.
The Medical qualifications possessed by the candidates should have the recognition of the Medical Council of India
In so far as post graduate medical qualifications awarded by Indian Universities are concerned, they should also find a place in the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, as amended from time to time.
The candidate should be able to conduct general and gynaec OPDs and operative surgeries
