1. I have worked as Maintenance supervisor in “Shree Narmada Aluminum PVT LTD” Bharuch, Gujarat, India.
SUMMARY :
I was handling tool room Supervision (Marking&Latheside). And I am able to maintain the general handling equipment eg. Overhead Cranes, press machines, & regular maintenance of all heavy machinery…
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the maintenance functions in a production facility.
- Co-ordinate maintenance activities with production scheduling and ensure proper staffing requirements for the maintenance department.
- Assist in the development and management of the plant maintenance budget and promote the best maintenance available to increase equipment reliability and reduce maintenance cost.
- Assist the plant engineer in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the annual capital budget.
- Acted as project supervisor on capital and maintenance expenditure projects to ensure proper project scope development, equipment specifications, equipment selection, costing, planning, scheduling installation, and start up.
ROLES AND KEY SKILLS :
The main duties of my role include carrying out both reactive & preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment & vessels .This includes the general fitting, overhauling, repairing, operating & maintenance of a variety of pumps, valves, fans, gearboxes, mechanical handling equipment, vessels, storage tanks, filtration systems, various piping & flange systems, vacuum devices, relief stream devices, heat exchangers, laser alignment, robotic & automated systems, pressure testing of hydraulic & pneumatic systems, site services, building services & various other mechanical devices & systems used in today’s chemical industries.
- Planning, Coordinating & carrying out the day to day maintenance & shutdown maintenance on the chemical plants on the site I work on within financial & time constraints.
- Adhering to Health & Safety procedures & regulations at all times..
- Carry out routine & non-routine inspections & condition monitoring of plant equipment & spares.
- Root Cause Analysis & problem solving of various Engineering faults.
ACHIEVEMENTS :
- Analyzed & solved assembly line problems & won award from Vice
Chairman.
- Achieved reduction of wastage by 5% using root cause analysis &
targeting high wastage departments.
- Successfully implemented new sampling method to reduce 0.5%
of non conforming materials.
- Reduced the lost time on repair work by 20% through
standardizing checking procedures.
- Modified inspection chart to save time & manpower.
- Reduced idle time of machines by adopting new methods by 15%.

While doing my trade apprenticeship as fitter/tool and die maker I received practical and theoretical training on guillotines, lathes, milling machines, press brake and radial arm drills (e.g. : gear replacement, alignment, installations, maintenance and repairs) Due to company closure I could not continue my trade as a tool and die maker.
