- Investigation on rejection of pumps at Idling friction by using shainin technique.
- Involved in developing of pump to implement the rubber dampener concept to reduce the vibrations in pump by this increases the performance and decreases the emission.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION :
Jindal Saw limited is the integrated pipe unit(IPU) committed continuously in the production of ductile iron Pipe which is used for the transportation of drinking waters, storage of oil gas, transportation of liquefied chemicals by using centrifugal casting technology

Roles and Responsibilities :
1. Rejection control :-
Rejection control is the huge problem in the piping industry. We are committed in all the five centrifugal casting machines to solve the casting rejections. Most occurring problem is pinholes. Some of the rejections are
- Pinholes
- Bad skin
- Cut mark
- Slag inclusions
- Drawn-body drawn, socket drawn, spigot drawn
Above mentioned problems are occurring while production .Have to solve both manually as well by using plc settings.
2. Making pipe of dia (80-350mm) :-
SDPP (small dia pipe plant) Making of DI Pipes in the range of 80mm-350mm
3. Mould Selection :-
Have to check the condition of the mould before sending it for production. The following things has to be checked out
- Surface preparation of the mould
- Bend checking by Gauge meter
- Whether there is any Crack in the mould
- Life of the mould
4. Man power Allotment :-
Man Power allotment has to be done with Respect to the Number of machines being run.
1. Metal distribution :-
Has to monitor the proper Metal Distribution for All Machines As Well as proper instruction has to be given for them about the metal consumption & Temperature checking of liquid metal to avoid the Rejections
2. Composition Analysis :-
Getting of composition Report from QA&QC for once in an hour to know about the composition level. Depends on the Fluctuation in the composition Adjustment has to done by the addition of alloying elements.
3. PLC Settings :-
CCM machine settings has to be done effectively with Respect to the problems .some of the main settings are
- RPM(Socket &spigot)
- Traverse time of the machine
- Hopper Lifting Time
4. as cast analysis :-
The thickness of both Socket and spigot has to get from the online inspectors to achieve the nominal thickness of the pipe for customer satisfaction
