Job Function
QCT System Test group is looking for full-time engineers for Bluetooth testing on mobile devices. The BT test group functions include verifying BT functionality, protocol, throughput performance and PHY/MAC compliance. Job responsibilities for this position include test planning, execution, automation, analysis and debug.
Candidates will be responsible for testing and verifying BT technology operation in conjunction with complex digital modem ASIC products supporting UMTS and 1x/EVDO technologies. Additional job duties include studying new system level features and working closely with HW, SW and System engineers to come up with comprehensive test strategies to evaluate them. Will conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work. They will also be responsible for automating these test cases using Perl scripting language.

Skills/Experience
Candidates with 1-4 years of work experience in BT or related wireless/telecom fields. Ability to communicate clearly, organize effectively and document work thoroughly is a must. Exposure to BT technology and/or Industry experience in system test of telecommunication products is a plus.

Responsibilities
Desired knowledge of 3G and 2G wireless technologies. Knowledge of RF and/or digital testing techniques and hands-on experience with standard telecommunications and phone testing equipment is a plus. Perl, C, shell programming skills preferred.

Education Requirements
Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

Brief Project Description :
“CAMPUS RADIO- Using Personal Addressing System”
In modern era wireless communication systems have prominently dominated the wired systems because of the various features shown by them. The most attracting application of wireless systems is that they can provide the control over the systems kept at areas where manual control is either impossible or at least cumbersome. This project “Campus Radio -using Personal Addressing System” uses this feature. By this, a system kept at remote area can be controlled by sending four or more different signals for its various operations and then audio signals are transmitted over the same system for conveying information to the other end.
The Personal Addressing System designed by me, transmit voice/audio signals in the range of 300meters.This system can be used to control switching between 4 remote places.
Principle :
It works on the principle of DTMF : DTMF means Dual Tone Multi- Frequency, There is no base-band multiplexing done on DTMF signals.
Responsibilities : Requirement study, Circuit Designing, PCB Layout Designing, Detail study on Analog and Digital Communications.
