    NGO Job New Delhi : Director, Education Research

    Our client is an independent public policy think tank based in New Delhi working on outreach, research and advocacy on critical public policy issues that affect India.

    JOB PROFILE
    We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Education Research, to lead the research team responsible to study, tracking and responding to educational reforms related issues and debates.

    As a member of the Campaign’s senior leadership team, the Education Research Director will assume full ownership of the Campaign’s research, design and monitor research projects accordance with the objectives of the Campaign.

    Responsibilities :
    1. Lead the research team : supervise research associates and interns;
    2. Develop literature for the Campaign, write and publish regular articles, research papers, commentaries, legislative analysis of acts and bills to be tabled in the Parliament;
    3. Coordinate and provide resources to the portal on the Right to Education Act in India. http://righttoeducation.in
    4. Identify and plan for research needs with campaign team and coalition partners;
    5. Plan and design dialogues, workshops, conferences on the research outputs;
    6. Prepare and deliver lectures/inputs at programs for students, policy makers, professors and general public;
    7. Represent the organization at academic and policy institutions.

    Qualifications & Skills :
    1. Excellent writing skills for research papers as well as mass publications;
    2. Experience working on education reforms;
    3. Relevant experience in public policy research and leading teams for at least 5 years;
    4. Proven communication and networking skills;
    5. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and have fun in a fast paced work environment;
    6. Post graduate degree in social sciences or public policy is desirable.
    7. Ph.D./M.Phil required.
