Position - Reliability Engineer

Location - Lake Charles

Description :
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports directly to the Reliability Manager. Is accountable to plant managers for technical reliability expertise including leading and coaching plant refractory experts. Works with plant personnel, engineers, consultants and technical personnel. Communicates with management and outside business contacts.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & MEASURES
• Equipment reliability for all plants as measured by reliability key performance indicators
• Refractory turnaround scope prediction vs. actual

Qualifications :
This position requires an engineering degree with a minimum 5 years experience in the maintenance reliability field. The knowledge of refractory, mechanical equipment and thermal imaging analysis is a must. Analyzes the reliability of plant equipment. Develops the methods and measures of analysis based on equipment maintenance and operation requirements. Prepares reports, charts and diagrams to disclose results and highlight areas for further investigation. Performs follow-up investigation to determine product design flaws. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Experience working with vendors, contractors, and plant personnel necessary. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Travel required.

Rain CII's roots are in the aluminum industry, dating back to 1959, when CII Carbon, LLC began as the Carbon Division of Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation. In 1998, Rain CII Carbon (India) Limited constructed Asia’s largest petroleum coke calcining facility in the port city of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh state. Rain CII produces three primary products: calcined delayed sponge coke used primarily by aluminum producers for anode manufacture; calcined delayed coke for titanium dioxide (TiO2) pigment manufacture, and calcined fluid coke used as a packing material in anode baking furnaces. Other specialty calcined coke products are also made by special arrangement.
