- Instigated “Continuous Ryles Tube Feeding” to the ICU patients, which is a new initiative in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu at Kovai Medical Centre and Hospital (KMCH), from June 2007 to November 2007.
- Calculated diabetic and renal meal plans tailoring the meals plans to meet patients lifestyle and educational level.
- Performed inpatient and outpatient counseling on various diets to meet the lifestyle and survival skills of the clients to enhance compliance and quality of life.
- Coordinated quality improvement process for clinical and patient care services like NPO and timeliness of nutrition support, adequacy of enteral feedings, use of Parenteral nutrition support, accuracy of trays, portion control and menu delivery.
- Organized and implemented the nutrition care committee with members including ICU physicians, pharmacists and nutritionists.
- Developed policies and procedures for clinical services with the department dietitians.
- Responsible for coordinating food service, menu delivery and clinical aspects for the rehabilitation centre.
- Initiated and implemented liberalization of renal diets for inpatients to optimize nutritional status of renal patients by improving oral intake and quality of life.
