Job Responsibility :
Purchase Operations
Managing the overall procurement of concrete tower manufacturing unit (Raw Materials, Cement, Steel, Engineering items, consumables-electrical & mechanical, Spares of various equipment, hand tools, fasteners, safety equipments, HSD, lubricants, construction chemicals, etc.
Substituting imports with local purchases for achieving cost savings.
Vendor Management
Identifying cost effective vendors (domestic/ international based) for meeting the purchase requirements Identifying and developing a dedicated and alternate vendor source for, achieving cost effective purchases of raw materials and reduction in delivery time.
Discussing with the vendors with respect to price, quality and quantity standards.
Inspecting the incoming materials supplied by the vendors to make sure that they conform to the quality and quantify requirements communicated initially.
Rating of vendors based on criteria like price, discount, proximity, service, past experience regarding adherence to delivery schedule, rejections, quality improvement rate, credit terms
