Job Description-Bioactivity guided isolation of active molecules from microbes (Fungus, Actinomycetes from terrestrial and marine sources) and plants. The selected candidate would be performing extraction, different chromatographic techniques, TLC, HPTLC and handling the analytical /prep HPLCs. The candidate should be well versed in spectroscopy and in structure elucidation of isolated bioactive molecules. Chemical modification of natural products to address the pharmacological issues will form part of the job. The therapeutic areas would be antiinfective, anticancer, antiinflammation and antidiabetic.
