CAREER SYNOPSIS
- Head Fixed Assets Accounting- Broad Band and Landline Segment –M/s Bharti Airtel Ltd,
Airtel Centre Gurgaon, leading Telecom Player with presence in 23 telecom circles of India providing a range of telecom services like Cellular, Fixed Line, Internet and National & International Long Distance. Leading a team of 12 members including 3 qualified chartered accountants.
- Played the leading role as Finance and Accounts Manager in M/S Teledata Informatics Ltd a CMMI level 5 Software development company based at Chennai, Engaged in the business of development and providing software solutions for the Marine and utility services. Successfully implemented the Composite scheme of arrangement (Demerger and Amalgamation) between the parent company and other group companies (Since Nov 2006 to March 2008).
- Employed with A.F.Ferguson & Co, Chennai, member firm of Deloitte Haskin & Sells as Assistant Manager – Statutory Audit. ( March 2006 to Nov 2006 )
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
BHARTI AIRTEL LTD –AIRTEL CENTRE GURGAON ( APR-2008 TILL DATE)
- Leading the fixed assets accounting Division for Land line and Broadband segment divided into three geographical divisions i.e. North, South and Western India.
- Led the Fixed assets accounting and analysis of Southern Mobility circles, a team of 5 members including two qualified chartered accountants..
- Monthly capitalization of Rs100 Crores worth of fixed assets in the form of three hundred sites roll out on a monthly basis.
- Payable Accounting (Capex vendor accounting of the strategic partners) M/S Ericsson India and Ericsson Sweden, Nokia India and Nokia Corp USA.
- Erlang Based capitalization, a unique method of capitalization in Bharti where in capex vendors are paid based on capacity installation not merely based on the invoices raised.
- Preparation of various monthly MIS reports for the senior management review.
- Finalization of FA Related accounts and getting the same audited on a quarterly basis
- Designing accounting policies under IGAAP on operational and other matters to lead the telecom accounting thought practices in the industry and Interacting with statutory auditors in translating international guidelines and exposure drafts into company specific policies.
- Rolling out consistent Financial Processes emerging out of the existing business scenario and new business developments in alignment with SOX
Teledata Informatics Ltd, A 3000 Cr software Development Company ( Nov-2006 –Mar-2008)
- Finalization of the Annual report in co ordination with the Secretarial Department and the statutory auditors, M/S Chaturvedi & Shah. Bombay. The company went for a Demerger and Amalgamation (Composite scheme of arrangement during this period).
- Consolidation of around 25 subsidiaries accounts spread over USA, UK, Middle East countries and Thailand with the parent company as per the Generally accepted Accounting principles in India.
- Involvement in the Strategic and financial planning with the senior management for the group as a whole.
- Liasioning with the premier Public and Private sector banks for arrangement of short term and long term, fund and non fund based facilities like EPC, Cash credit, Term loan, BG and LC with interchangeable limits.
- Led the Accounts Dept, a team of 15 members including 4 Qualified Chartered Accountants with a direct reporting relationship with the Finance Head.
- Quarterly Limited review , Yearend audit and other statutory compliances
- Preparation of various project reports for the new projects.
- Handling the assessments, appeals etc with the income tax authorities
