The overall objective of online money movement is to enable clients to move cash between their Morgan Stanley Smith Barney (MSSB) accounts as well as execute transfers to and from external financial institutions via ClientServ. Online money movement is a basic expectation of any client seeking to do banking with MSSB. It will not only attract additional deposits from existing clients, but it will also encourage more clients to do their banking with MSSB.
The same Money Movement functionalities will also be made available to the Financial Advisors (FA) and/or the Client Service Associates (CSA) in the branches via MS360. The FA/CSA will be able to assist and/or execute online transfer requests between the clients’ internal and external accounts, as well as submit a check request. MS360 is a Web-based platform that provides a single point of entry for servicing clients. It is used by GWMG Sales Teams to provide real-time account data, linked and household level summaries, and acts as a single point from where to launch other Morgan Stanley applications. The portal integrates many applications into one platform. It provides account-centric views and navigation.

ClientServ is a portal provided by Morgan Stanley to its external and internal users to access and manage key account information, while providing all of the online resources needed to oversee investments and transactions at Morgan Stanley. The Customer Interaction Center (CIC) receives calls from clients for questions or concerns about their payment transactions or instructions. The CIC users will have the ability to view the transaction, external accounts details, reject reason codes, comments and statuses. The CIC user can also ‘cancel’ the transaction based on the client’s request. If the problem cannot be resolved by CIC, then the issue will get escalated to the Operations Center of Excellence (COE). The COE user can view, approve, reject and cancel transactions, as well as suspend and/or resume an external account. In addition, the client and their FAs receive email notifications and FA Alerts for any action taken on their account or transactions.
