Executive - IT and Site Operations

The person in this position will be responsible for administering,monitoring and maintaining Cricinfo Datacentre & Bangalore Office Network.

The right candidate must have prior experience of handling the website operations of high traffic web sites and certification and hands on experience of Cisco routers and networking. The candidate should be able to design, install, and support custom and open-source infrastructure products, e.g., Apache, Debian, MySQL and Perl and experience with Windows and Debian platforms in a heterogeneous integrated environment

Required Qualifications :
* Able to configure Cisco switches and routers
* Should have worked with Proxy's and Firewalls
* Experience of working with medium sized server farms
* Full command on Linux (preferably Debian) installation and administration
* Good knowledge of Exim (mail server)
* Expert knowledge of Apache (web server) configuration and maintenance
* Hands on knowledge on DNS setup (using bind)
* Good knowledge of Shell/Perl scripting
* Expert knowledge of MYSQL administration
* Prior experience of caching and load balancing systems e.g. Akamai and Citrix NetScalar
* Experience with designing, planning and testing disaster recovery, backup and fail-over scenarios for key infrastructure systems
