PROJECT DESCRIPTION
SCADA BASED WIRELESS INDUSTRIAL CONTROL SYSTEM
- Supervisory control is a category of software application program for process control, in order to control equipment and conditions. Supervisory control is used in power plants as well as in oil and gas refining, telecommunications, transportation and waste control. Supervisory control systems include hardware and software components. The software feeds data into a computer that has Supervisory control software installed. The computer then process this data and controls the process through wireless system attached to it. The goal of this project is to develop a low cost wireless SCADA based complete system focussing on the development of a GUI interface to control an industrial control system via a wireless link. The project has three main subsystems - 1. PC software interface 2. The wireless interface 3. The control scheduler on the microcontroller. Here , we demonstrate the technology by controlling the flow shut-off valve and auxiliary heater in a process control system.
