    MARKETING MANAGER (M/F)

    The main responsibilities :
    1. Promote opportunities for attracting investment and trade with British Columbia.
    2. Generate free publicity, maintain press contacts on a daily basis and prepare events.
    3. Coordinate all the marketing and lead generating activities, including budgets.
    4. Participate and organize trade shows and seminars.
    5. Maintain and report on the marketing budget (input) and leads (output).
    6. Motivate the marketing team, including recruitment of new staff members.
    7. Collect and report on market developments in a comprehensive manner.
    8. Build relationships with clients and introduce strategic leads to the Managing Director.
    9. Pro-actively seek to establish and expand networks or generate ideas for this purpose.
    10. Participate in the organization and execution of high level visits to the region, if and when required.

    The required professional experience
    1. A minimum of 8 years of international marketing management experience with a Multinational company.
    2. Experience dealing directly with foreign and Indian clients and companies – business to business.
    3. Hands-on experience with free publicity, press relations, event and seminars.
    4. Experience of working with external (advertising) agencies.
    5. Experience in monitoring budgets and marketing plans.

    Specific knowledge

    1. Good (general) knowledge of international trade and investment.
    2. Knowledge/good understanding of international trade and investment between British Columbia, Canada, and India.
    1. Knowledge of current and emerging industry sectors : IT,BT, GreenTech.
    2. Knowledge of software packages : Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint and Excell.

    The required educational background
    University degree (Master level) in international (International) Marketing from a well-reputed university (Indian or foreign).
