I have been successfully completed my B.E. Project in college on “Mechanical Characterization of coir reinforced polyester composites”
Brief Description of project :
This project determines the mechanical Properties like tensile, flexural and impact strength of different compositions of polyester and Coir fiber. These include stress, strain and young’s modulus of different compositions of Reinforced polyester composites and coir fiber.
Different proportions Reinforced polyester composites and coir fibers are used in light weight structure like automobile parts, Aircrafts, Boards etc. And increasing the coir contents they can also be used in sound absorbing device.
Team size : 3 students
My role : Solid Modeling and Detailing.
M. Tech project :
Title : study of abrasive wear behaviour of polymer composite.
Details :
The objective of the project was to fabricate a polymer composite and test the same for its mechanical properties according to the ASTM standards.
The raw materials required to fabricate were collected and according to the standards they were machine fabricated using the hand lay-up method. These plates were cut into the standard specimen according to the ASTM standards. Then these specimens were tested for various properties such as tension, wear properties according to the ASTM standards. The results were analyzed using graphical representation.
