· Product Design of Automotive Plastic components and Concept Design using CATIAV5 as per Packaging Environment.

· Generation of Surfaces for components from their cloud data.
· Generation of neutral files and releasing for Prototype, Analysis and Tooling.
· Support Tool Development team after component release with necessary modifications and information.
· Support A-surface Development by space Analysis, draft analysis, tooling feasibility, ergonomic feasibility etc.

Project Details (Partial List)

Project #1: JR_95 DOOR TRIMS: (RENAULT)

Creation of Basic solids for door trim components from Sections provided maintaining the critical criteria. Study of Tooling and DMU analysis of components. Design of fixation scheme using power copy. Design of speaker grills single handed based on the inputs provided by client.
The main characteristic of this door trim was, it was created in two versions and was also aesthetically appealing to the high class customers. The trim had a Garnish strip (ABS polished) in continuity with the I.P. Garnish. The speaker grill as well as the tweeter grill, mounted on trim, was designed single handed, also featured a garnish ring. The higher version trim was provided with a floor lamp just below map pocket.

Project #2: MICROBUS DOOR TRIMS: (TATA MOTORS)

Creation of A-surface proposals considering the environment and fixation schemes. Creation of proposal sections, and then building basic solids on approved sections. Designing of proper fixation scheme considering the slider movements with help of power copy and draft analysis.
The A-surface received from client was a very crude one, so we had to modify the surfaces, clearing some patches for draft, tooling feasibility. In this trim, the A-surface of Pull-cup was completely designed on our end, maintaining exact harmony with the surrounding components.

Project #3: VW_250 DOOR TRIMS & LUGGAGE TRIMS: (VOLKSWAGEN)

Creation of Basic solids for door trim components from Sections provided maintaining the critical criteria. Study of Tooling and DMU analysis of components. Creation of surface proposals for client considering the fixation and tooling restrictions, and packaging analysis. Design of fixation scheme using power copy. Design of speaker grills single handed based on the inputs provided by client.
I was posted 3 months onsite in Weyhausen, Germany, from 3rd Sep ’07 to 23rd Nov ’07. I worked on VW_250 (New Polo) Front & Rear Door Trims and Luggage Trims as an onsite coordinator also supporting tooling and assembly feasibility for luggage trims. Direct coordination with Client (VW), prepared A-surface proposals for assembly and ergonomic considerations in luggage trims. Checking for Draft analysis and Validat passing of door trim and luggage trim components for prototype release.
After return, the next phase, i.e. production phase was completely coordinated and designed single handed meeting with the dates and requirements of client. The specific part of this project was that, the door trim speaker grill design proposal was proposed to client and completed in least possible time.

Project #4: VW_471 DOOR TRIMS: (VOLKSWAGEN)

I was posted 3 months onsite in Weyhausen, Germany, from 1st of July ‘08 till 27th of Sep ’08. I worked on VW_471 (New Passat) front and rear door trims as an onsite coordinator. My job involved direct coordination with the Client (VW), preparing A surface proposals and sections for the door trim parts to check their feasibility with the environment, assembly, and their fixation.
After return, I completed the prototype phase of the project successfully. I released the “Preco Drawing” defining the standard sections between union of the parts and their fixation scheme with the BIW.
Later on we started with the Production phase of the project and we are about to end this phase successfully. In the production phase I supported the tooling team by providing time to time quick proposals according to new/modified client surface and client requirements. I also suggested some surface changes to the client which were accepted with some minor modifications by styling team. I have also worked on the modeling of the speaker grill and completed in least possible time. I am now working on the final stage of the project.
