- SURAT(UKAI POWER STATION)- In this we have visited thermal and hydro power station.This power station is having total capacity of 850 MW.we had viewed the parts of power station like boiler, turbines ,how they works,their control etc.
- ELECTRIC LOCO SHED IN BARODA- In this we have seen the traction system of railways,their control etc.
- ERDA,BARODA(electrical research and development association)-In this research center we have seen the different testing facilities like “on line short circuiting testing,high voltage impulse testing” which is a need of a industry before establishing any equipment.There is testing of equipment like transformer oil,C.T.,P.T.etc.
- Working Experience :-
Worked as a graduate apprenticeship trainee in Torrent Power Ltd. (Ahmedabad).
It is one of the leading power company in the power sector today.
I’ve gone through the training in Generation, Transmission as well as the Distribution sectors.
The training consisted of Main Plant operations as well as maintenance (electrical) in the 400 Mw thermal power plant in Sabarmati as well as a 100Mw CCPP at Vatva.
As the company also feeds large demand of the whole city I’ve undergone the manifold maintenance facet in its widely distributed transmission network consisting of 220Kv(EHV) to 66Kv(HV) substations and transmission lines.
While I am going through a first hand experience in its humungous distribution network (11Kv & 415v) which also consisted dealing directly with the consumers.

Description: In this we have controlled the speed of 3-phase induction motor by using microplc and A.C. drive.In this we are making the program(ladder diagram) in the microplc and this program will control the a.c.drive and this a.c.drive will control the speed of motor which is connected to it.
Learnt: From this we learnt about the microplc,how to make a ladder diagram in it.we have studied about the a.c.drive.
Project Name: BATCH PROCESS OF COLOUR MIXING PLANT USING
PLC (ABB)
Platform: Precise process control (ABB)
Responsibility: Group of three students
Description: In this we have made the automation of batch process of colour mixing plant by using plc(ABB-50 SERIES).So in this, automation is occurred by the software of plc.As in this the process of colour mixing is occurred one by one by getting command from plc.
Learnt We have studied about the plc of ABB.
