Academic Project
PROJECT : “Advanced Detective System for Industrial Power Misuse Using PLCC ”
The power can be utilized without account is known as “ADVANCED DETECTIVE SYSTEM FOR INDUSTRIAL POWER MISUSE USING PLCC”. The power theft can be mainly done by three ways. They are Bye passes the energy meter supply, Produce magnetic lock, Block the disc rotation.
Energy meter has one input and output terminals. The supply from the E.B is given to input and taken away from the meter to the load. The current flow in the energy meter is
prohibited by bye passing the current (i.e) the supply from the main is connected to the load directly. To detect this fault we are using the current transformer connected with main and current flow is sensed by the comparator circuit.
If the magnetic piece is placed in the energy meter the disc is not rotated but at the same time the power is utilized. For detecting this kind of fault we are using one magnetic sensor placed in the meter. Whenever the magnet is placed near the energy meter it will be sensed by the circuit used.
The disc may be stopped by any other physical means. This fault is sensed placing a slot sensor inside the meter, which will give signal while rotating. If any of the faults is occurred that will be sensed and the error signal is produced which will be sent to E.B as FM modulated signal. The same error is detected by the E.B also. It will be rectified by using Microcontroller.
