Job Description :
• To Transition Unix domain knowledge for various customers to IBM team
• Thorough understanding of Unix Kernel, Shell Scripting
• Comfortable on installation, troubleshooting, Adminstration of Solaris / AIX/Linux/HpUX
• Suggest Hardening practices , understand current Unix architecture & suggest various observations
• OS Patch level check in UNIX servers and install as per the requirement
• Firmware level check in UNIX servers and upgrade
• Should have implemented cluster
• OS & VG(Volume group) backup & recovery
• Check routing table in UNIX servers
• Check cluster status daily including resource group and device group
• Take storage console - check logs and message
• Update the SUN storages disk space like used and free space availability
• Update the IBM storages disk space like used and free space availability
• Disk space allocation from storage systen to UNIX hosts as per the requirement
• File system creation and mounting in UNIX servers.
• Fabric Zoning,Zone status checking from global zone
• SAN switch status checking
• LUN masking
