Academic Projects
Design and Fabrication of Automated Shearing Machine
Phenomenon of Electromagnetism is used to generate the force required for shearing. Most problems of conventional shearing machines like vibration, noise, leakage are reduced. Electromagnet generates the necessary force which attracts the soft Iron core, generating the cutting stroke. Feeding and extraction of work piece material is made automatic by using rollers controlled by micro-controller.
This can be used in small scale industries due its accuracy, compactness and efficiency.
Design and Fabrication of Mechanical Kitchen Mixer
This kitchen mixer employs the phenomenon of Gear Box. Conventional Pots are used for the operation. This was designed targeting rural people and those who are not economically strong, i.e. those who use stone grinder or cannot afford yearly expense of electric consumption.
This mixer cum grinder provided the same result as electric mixer for kitchen work. Successful test was conducted on groundnut; ½ kg was grinded in 50 seconds.
