Overview :
The Web Technologist (community administrator) position is a broad encompassing role. The community administrator is the voice of the company when engaging with external users and the voice of the customers (internal and external) internally. The value lies in the community administrator serving as a hub - having the ability to personally connect with the customers (humanize the company) and providing feedback to many departments internally (marketing, engineering, product management, support, etc).

Responsibilities :
* Work with marketing, sales, engineering and other participants to ensure the community platform and forums, blogs, discussions, moderation tools, etc.? are kept up-to-date and functional
* Create and promote user training and assist with user administration and support (mostly via email, IM); creatively and proactively assist users
* Engage in online dialogues and answer questions on behalf of TIBCO as it refers to the communities and facilitate access and discussions
* Provide support in customer and partner councils to promote user engagement and partner sales enablement
* Monitor trends in online community and social media tools, policies, application challenges and opportunities
* Set and monitor effective benchmarks metrics for measuring the growth, health and value of the community, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of new programs to product and marketing teams reporting up to the CMO
* Identify and analyze issues, patterns and trends in customer requests or product issues, and transfer the information to the appropriate departments so that they can respond accordingly; proactively escalate issues to the executive team where applicable

Qualifications :
* Hard working and thrive on the excitement of a goal oriented team
* Independent, creative self-starter, constant learner and internet addict; stays up-do-date on new, fun things out there for web savvy users as well as regular people
* 2-3 years of experience administering communities or social oriented content management systems
* University degree in business, communications, marketing, or tech
* Team player, exceptional collaborator, creative, cool under pressure and good interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships
* Strong project management or organizational skills
* Good knowledge and understanding of social media and online community platforms and how they can be deployed and used; demonstrated and documented immersion in social media
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment
* Good general technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
* Strong understanding and familiarity with contemporary social media tools and platforms including YouTube, Delicious, Digg, Flickr, rorums, wikis, blogs, Facebook, twitter, WordPress, Drupal, Formwine etc.
