    Appointment of Part-time RBI Reserve Bank of India ank's Medical Officer
    on contract basis with fixed monthly remuneration

    Applications are invited form eligible candidates to fill up 2 (two) posts (both unreserved) of Part-time Bank's Medical Officers on contract basis for the Bank's dispensaries at Ultadanga Officers' Quarters at P 189/2 CIT Scheme under VII M, Ultadanga, Kolkata – 700 067 (near Bidhan Nagar Railway Station) and National Clearing Cell (NCC) at 6, Royd Street, Kolkata – 700 016 so as to reach the Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, 15, N.S. Road, Kolkata – 700 001 not later than September 15, 2010.

    1. Applicant should be a medial graduate of an Indian or Foreign University recognized by the Medical Council of India and should, in addition, possess at least 5 years' experience.


    2. Candidate should not be more than 50 years of age as on September 01, 2010. Contract service will cease on attaining 60 years of age.
    3. Candidates with previous hospital experience (at least 5 years) and who have their private dispensaries or places of residence near about the aforesaid dispensaries (within a radius of 5 kms.) will, other things being equal, be given preference.
    4. The remuneration of the Medical Officer will be fixed with reference to the actual duty hours as given below inclusive of all. Sl.

    8.15 AM to 9.30 AM (Mon-Thurs)
    8.15 AM to 9.45 AM (Fri)
    8.00 AM to 10.30 AM (Sat)
    Total duty hours : 9 hours per week

    Rs.350/- per hour for the first three years of contractual service and Rs.450/- per hour after completion of three years of contractual service.

    b.National Clearing Cell
    2 PM to 3 PM (Mon-Sat)
    Total duty hours : 6 hours per week

    Out of total monthly remuneration a sum of Rs.1000/- may be treated as conveyance expenses.

    5. The Bank reserves the right to enhance the rate of remuneration reviewed from time to time and alter the duty hours at its discretion in case it becomes expedient to suit administrative and operational requirements.

    6. Application should be submitted in the attached prescribed format. The application should be sent in a cover superscribed "Application for the post of Part-time BMO". Apart from those who may be called, interviews will not be granted to other candidates nor the Bank will enter into correspondence with them. Candidates selected for the post will be appointed subject to their being found medically fit.
